Month: February 2011

Think Piece

Posted on February 2, 2011February 2, 2011 by sbuckleit

The question is supposed to be: what do I want to write about? But that's too easy. I knew the answer as soon as I heard the assignment. I am Jewish. I have brown hair and brown eyes. I am not the Nazi ideal, and if I had lived during that time I am very … Continue reading Think Piece →

This little bear has finally grown a pair of arms and a torso! Possibly the worst cookies I've ever made (but they looked really pretty against that butcher's block countertop, so they suit my purposes on Instagram 🙃). A snap from our first camping trip as a family of four (Humans, that is. Our full family count is seven mammals, one fish). In non-writing news… my knitting has grown a head! This is where the magic happens (sort of). In all reality, I do a lot of writing from the couch or bed—sometimes, if there’s a sleeping baby in the room, I’ll even write Harry Potter style, under the covers with my knees propped up so that I can still see the screen. Home sweet home ✨. We just got home from a visit to Georgia, where I met with my publisher and officially signed my contract. Now comes all the hard work! Hi friends! I’m back on the ole social media! I have an opportunity to publish one of my books, and my publisher wants me to work on my social media presence. So here I am! Get ready for sneak peeks into the life of a writer, musings on the creative process, and snippets of the other things that make life worth living for me: hand knitted garments, early morning light, good food and my extremely cute coworkers. We’re proud to introduce the newest member of our family: Hi friends! Just popping in quickly to say that we’re doing well and bungling along in this busy season of growing humans and juggling PhDs and careers and surviving pandemics. We haven’t missed being on social media, but we sure do miss you all! I’m planning to stay off Instagram for good, but will start posting monthly photos (as a means of record keeping for our family) on my blog—you can find my email there, and I’d love to hear from you! (Swipe to see how big Linden has gotten, and how big my belly is getting 👀)
